Skills/ Credentials/ Certifications needed: Most jobs require that you are or are able to become certified. There
are Pharmacy Technician Certifications available. These include PTCB and ExCPT. Both have study guides and
tests online so you can better prepare for them.

Your Skills: Attention to detail. Good communication and reading skills. Ability to do math. Ability to
properly dispense medications.
Your Credentials and Certifications: Individuals who pass the exam are then given the designation CPhT.
A certificate is then sent in the mail in six to eight weeks after taking the exam. Once you are certified,
your certification is valid for two years.

NCLEX
exam around 6 weeks before graduating from your program of choice.
