More Knowledgeable Other (MKO):
Other people that are more knowledgeable in the language play a significant role in
advancing a childs’ understanding of language.
Caregivers provide scaffolding (set structure for language) which helps a child achieve
more then they could on their own. (e.g Say thank you to the teacher)
Parental instructions and interaction with social environment help develop language.
