A PDP must include an evaluation of the regulation and requirements needed to obtain licensure within their state or surrounding geographic location. A self-assessment including strengths, weaknesses, goals, and objective must be included to allow for further reflection. Being aware of the state guidelines is also beneficial in providing the APN with details regarding any regulations over the license or educational requirements needed. This paper will address the APN’s role within my geographic location, will include a self-assessment using Benner’s self-assessment tool, strategies for marketing and networking, a curriculum vitae, and a summary of the information obtained in this paper.
