Reflection Paper
A sociological theory helps us understand convivial events of one’s life and interactions.
These theories can be utilized as test proposition about culture called hypothesis. The concepts
and definitions can avail determine the gregarious interactions and demeanors that may occur.
These sociological theories that are tested shows our interactions and postures and how they
affect our society. In terms of theories assortment, it occurs with importance and viewpoints
and the data they define as paramount. By learning these theories, one can gain a greater
understanding of sociology’s present, past, and even future. Some theories endeavor to tell us
about the possible outcome of future events in the convivial world, while others function as
broad perspective which guides further sociological analyses.
In today’s world, one can encounter experiences of tension in all aspects of our lives in
different areas. Some examples of these could be at our workplace of employment, ambulating to
the bus down the street and within our neighborhood community. Haplessly, our skin color,
where we live, the conveyance we drive, or what kind of attire we wear for as our appearance
can be factors of how one is categorized in society. Social inequality is an area within sociology
that fixates on distributions of goods and burdens in society. Inequality of conditions or
opportunities can be measured in a way. Conditions could be viewed as an example with a
woman at her workplace being paid less than a male co-worker. Opportunities could be viewed
as an example as levels of inculcation for employees in a workplace. Both of the convivial
inequality and conditions/ opportunities play a major part of discrimination with a person’s race,
gender, and sexuality.
