I am an abnormal psychology advocate and blogger.
In the research and treatment of psychopathology, diagnosis and assessment are critical
first stages (Kring & Johnson, 2018). Today I will offer some insight related to the Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), along with a few other tools used to assess
for diagnosis and treatment plans. I will also be covering cultural competency so that you are
aware of how psychology aims to be inclusive and account for cultural differences.
