Generally, technology systems play a significant role in the lives of every individual,
either directly or indirectly. Most people in the world have widely embraced the utilization of
IT in their practices in the quest to better their lives and make it easier. Therefore, there is a
need to understand what IT and information systems are. According to a definition by
Howard (2017), an IT system is a technical device that ensures the user can electronically
transmit information, receive, process, and store it. However, with the widespread adoption of
the systems in various individual, business, and environmental aspects, there is rising concern
about its adverse effects. Companies need to update their IT systems and align their
operations with emerging technologies. Both internal and external security measures should
be observed to safeguard the organization’s data.

commercial, or service industries. It has almost become mandatory for every individual and
