Human Resource Development Plan
A Useful Starting Point Is Estimating the Total Number of Relocating Employees That Can
Be Supported in the Host Country
Customers’ needs and expectations must be met. Ensuring this the right specific
personnel will be chosen for relocation. This oil supplier business is expanding to sub-Sahara
Africa in Liberia and Nigeria. These two locations will have main department leaders as follows:
quality manager, IT manager, human resource manager, engineering manager, and operations
manager. As described by Crandall (1989), human resources planning is the foundation for all
human resources programs in organizations. Africa has already distributed about 15 % of the
world’s oil, incrementing exponentially from 9 % in 1998. The two new locations for the oil
supplier business, there will need to be 25 employees at each location. The oil company should
create a timeline for the relocation of the employees and for reassurance when it should take
place. Good communication skills should be put into place within the company and the
employees that have accepted the relocation, feel included in decision making for the plan to fall
through.
