Research Methodology, Design, and Methods
Senior leadership at Sun Coast has identified several areas for concern that can be solved
using business research methods through the implementation of a research project. This portion
of the research project will include the research methodology, research design, research methods.
Data collection methods, sampling design, and data analysis procedures.
Research Methodology
The quantitative research methodology will be used to address the business problems
Sun Coast has found. Quantitative research involves testing theories by examining the
relationship among variables. These variables can be measured on instruments to analyze the
numbered data using statistical procedures (Creswell & Creswell, 2018).
Research Design
Because the leadership team at Sun Coast would like to learn more based on information
they already know, the best research design to use is the descriptive design. This design will
allow them to become more accurate and precise in these areas of concern.
Research Methods
The research methods used is a non-experimental design that can include descriptive
statistics, correlational and causal-comparative research methods. Correlation methods were used
to test RQ1 research question and hypotheses, while casual comparative research methods were
used to test RQ4, RQ5, and RQ6. Descriptive statistics were used in both single regression
(RQ2) and multiple regression (RQ3) research question and hypotheses.
