Unit II Course Project: Automated Car Wash Resource Management Plan
This resource management plan will be a check to ensure that there are the required
number of resources and manpower in order to open an automated car wash with vacuums. This
plan will discuss who is needed to plan and execute the project and where these people will be
acquired from. This plan will also discuss what materials, equipment, funding, tools, and
supplies are needed, where these resources are coming from, and what basic approach will be
taken regarding teambuilding, team development, and team motivation.
Identification and Acquisition of People and Resources
Constructing, opening, and running an automated car wash requires people with an
expert-level knowledge of the construction process, the regulations, and the general upkeep of
the car wash. Analysis is also needed on the local demographics to determine if the area the car
wash is being constructed at has the demand and the supporting population to use it. A project
manager can use past data from similar projects such as the openings of other car washes to
estimate the materials required as well as the cost and personnel needed to construct and run the
business (Englund & Bucero, 2019).
The required human resources that are going to be needed to construct and run the
automated car wash include the architect, a contractor to construct the car wash, a manager, legal
counsel, accounting, and employees. If the company developing the car wash is established, they
can use internal resources like current employees to oversee, manage, and run the car wash, as
