Unsafe Work
Business Relationships
Businesses relationships involve more than just business deals. Businesses also have a
commitment to their employees to provide a clean and safe working environment. OSHA and
other government agencies help guide businesses in the correct direction by providing standards
for each to follow. Unsafe work environments compromise the employees’ physical and mental
health. If a business is known to have hazardous working conditions, a potential employee will
go somewhere else with similar pay and less risk. The business must realize there is a problem
and continue analyze the situation and implement corrective actions.
Thesis statement
What if businesses were to comply with standards and provide the safest working
conditions and environment for their employees? Would they be able to keep a better more loyal
workforce?
Business relationships go beyond the contract of production. The business relationship
extends to providing a safe work environment for all workers, meaning that everyone goes home
at the end of the day in the same way they arrived. One of the biggest problems today, businesses
seem to focus on production goals over the importance of safety and the type of culture they
provide to their workforce.
