Energy Institute Stakeholders Survey
The stakeholder’s survey was designed to complement results
from the university energy institutes. It was sponsored by the Alfred
Sloan Foundation and Advanced Research Project Agency. The
stakeholders are individuals interested in US energy institutes,
governments, academia, nonprofit organizations, and private
investments. The survey assured the respondents of confidentiality
with the only risks being faced being a breach of confidentiality. For
completion of the survey, no compensation was offered.
The stakeholder’s survey sought to gain insight into the nature of
external players, besides their personal information. The region that
they reside in and the education held was also collected. The rationale
behind this is to determine stakeholder’s diversity.
For the researcher to define the relations that exist between
stakeholders and the institutions. The interactions held with energy
institutes were sought and defined. The survey questions examined
whether the stakeholders interact, and if they do, what was the nature
of their interactions.
Further on interaction, the survey sought to understand how the
interactions were. For the stakeholders, do they interact willingly, what
would make them fail to interact and how they stand to benefit with
