Energy Institute Leadership Survey
The energy institute leadership survey was created for US energy institute leaders; the
focus was on directors and operating officers. The survey was distributed to several participating
institutes, where individuals in leadership positions fill it up and help create data. Individuals
who participated in the survey would get a summary of the results. Participants were assured of
minimal risk participating in the study, with the only potential challenge being the breach of
confidentiality. However, the researchers assured the participants of adherence to best practice.
There would be no compensation for participating in the survey.
The questionnaire design covered essential issues in the Energy sector. The researchers
intended to create an all-round knowledge center on how energy institutes leadership would help
produce qualified professionals in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Personal information
sought was meant to assist in quantifying the opinion presented.
By getting information on the knowledge institute organization, the researchers are in a
position to determine how relevant the institute is for the research. Organizational information
sought includes staff roles, the number of full-time staff, and the physical space dedicated to the
research institute. The type of advisory board running the institution and the faculty it is
associated with was also sought for research results enhancement.
To broaden the perspective of the research results, the energy institute focuses were
examined. Areas of interest were what the strategic priorities of the organizations are. Aspects
examined were the applications researched, e.g., battery development, fuel cells, or air quality.
Other areas of interest include energy sources and the research techniques used.
The survey inquired on if there were any opportunities for students. Particular interest
areas were whether there are educational programs that focused on energy and if professionals
