Top management: This relates to senior management who: Controls the entire organisation as a whole. They are responsible for the strategic planning and long term planning of the company. They are also responsible for the leadership and control of the implementation of strategies. This includes the board of directors, partners, the managing directors, CEO, management committees and other government bodies. Middle management: They can also be referred to as the functional management group because they are responsible for: Specific departments and/functions in the organisations. Tactical planning medium and short term planning They implement the strategies, policies and plans formulated by top management. The control of the activities in their areas to ensure that short and medium term plans are implemented. Lower management: They can also be referred to as the supervisory management group because they are responsible for: Smaller segments of the organisation.
