Question 1.1 .a A company consists of various level of management which can be observed in the list below:  Top management  Middle management  Lower management  Individual management. Top management: This relates to senior management who:  Controls the entire organisation as a whole.  They are responsible for the strategic planning and long term planning of the company.  They are also responsible for the leadership and control of the implementation of strategies.  This includes the board of directors, partners, the managing directors, CEO, management committees and other government bodies. Middle management: They can also be referred to as the functional management group because they are responsible for:  Specific departments and/functions in the organisations.  Tactical planning medium and short term planning  They implement the strategies, policies and plans formulated by top management.  The control of the activities in their areas to ensure that short and medium term plans are implemented. Lower management: They can also be referred to as the supervisory management group because they are responsible for:  Smaller segments of the organisation.  They are centred on the daily activities of their relevant sections and sub sections.  They are focused on short term planning and the implementation of the plans of middle management.  T
