meaning form visual images. Students need to learn specific skills of the visual arts such as observation,
expressing their ideas visually, self-discipline and perseverance. When teachers facilitate young students

Question 3:

Two-dimensional (2D) is flat and has a length and a with but no depth or height. Examples of 2D art
includes paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, film, video, and mixed media.

Examples of how to create 2D art include the following:

*Drawing- It is the simplest and most effective way to communicate visual ideas. For centuries
charcoal, chalk, graphite and paper have been adequate tools to launch some of the most intense 2D
images in art.

*Colouring- Either you get black or white pictures or pictures filled with colours like the colour wheel.

*Etching- It is when you first apply a protective wax-based coating to a thin metal plate. The artist
thenscratches an image with a burin through the protective coating into the surface of the metal. When
this isdone, the plate is submersed in a strong acid bath, etching the exposed lines. The plate is then
removed fromthe acid and the protective coating is removed from the plate.

*Photographs- They are camera pictures and represent the present image in a static picture format.
