The subjects which we are going to talk about, are our individual results, the conclusion and the needed
addition to our group.
Stuk student A (individueel)
Based on the Belbin test, the team roles executive and analyst fit me very well. The role of an executive
means that you are always disciplined to finish the exercises well. I always work organised and that fits
the role of an executive. For example, I always want to know what I have to do and that’s why I make
concrete plans before I start to work. Being the leader of a group also matches the executive person, but
it doesn’t match my qualities.
Analyst is the other team role which fits me very well. Being critical and always work accurate are
quality’s that go with this role. In my opinion this is the role which fits me the best of all the nine team
roles.
Before I take over some words, I want to know that the information is right. And when I have finished my
exercise, then I control everything one more time. All the assignments which I have to hand in, have to
look decent.
Out of the Belbin test appeared that the role of a completer definitely doesn’t match me. But the
property’s which belong to the completer fit me very well. Some of these property’s are being careful
and feeling responsible. When there are made errors in the team, I feel responsible for them and want to
correct all these errors, so that we can hand in a decent assignment, as I said before. I always feel this
responsibility because of my controlling nature. The conclusion about this role is, I think I can perform
this role in the team.
Now I am going to tell some strengths and weaknesses about myself.
One of my strengths I discussed before, is that I always work accurate and all my work is organised. The
other strength is not discussed before. The strength is that I am honest and helpful. I want to make
concrete agreements and I will always follow them. If I work on the assignments with other students,
and someone doesn’t get the assignment, then I always want to help.
Weaknesses of me and also property’s which I want to improve, are my autonomy and my creativity.
Sometimes I doubt about whether my work is good enough to hand in and that depends on my
autonomy. My creativity is a weakness and it means that it is difficult to immediately start with an
assignment, because I don’t have enough ideas.
My strengths match the team rolls which appeared out of the Belbin test. So, I think the test agrees very
well on my quality’s. The only thing I disagree on, was that the role of a completer doesn’t match me,
because I think I can perform this role.
