Typically, the students find the exams very difficult. I am told that the questions are
provided in the form of scenarios. These will ask you what the PMHNP might say when
following a particular type of therapy.
This requires that you know about each type of therapy.
It might help to review the power point videos that I provided in the doc sharing section
of the course (Midterm Review and Final Exam review). These review test taking tips
and previous students have reported that these have helped.
This handout identifies some important information about the types of group and family
therapy that will most likely be covered on the exam.
Please know that this handout does not include everything you should learn in the
course. It is a quick review of some important concepts. You will still have to
complete the readings assigned which provide you with a complete understanding of
the material. This serves as an overview.
