Medical malpractice is when a health care provider or professional fails to provide appropriate treatment, gives poor quality treatment or excludes taking necessary actions or steps in a patient’s treatment, which result in injury, harm and even death to a patient. Physicians ultimately are the ones in fear of a malpractice litigation. This paper will discuss medical malpractice litigation and the effect a simple apology can do to help avoid them. This paper will also discuss ethical and biblical aspects of how physicians should handle sensitive situations with their patient when a medical error has taken place.
