First Day at College
After having some amazing years at school, it was the time for me to step into real world. Being a shy and
introvert kind of person all these years I never expected my college first day to be awesome. I am just praying
that it should pass like normal day. For me College life is like , God.. I had to face so many humans.
It was 1st September 2019 evening, I was a bit confused for the next day’s college time. The night before
was a hectic one . My mind wondered how the first day is going to be. Will I find the correct room? What is my
roll_number? Will I be able to make friends . I was confused about everything.
Finally it’s first day …
The first day of anything, will always have a great important in anyone’s life . It signifies the new journey .
Similarly for me, the morning of 2nd September was a bit different than usual, as I had my new college to attend.
I woke up in the morning with the nervousness of going to college. I kept wondering how am I going to deal with
my first day at college. After I got everything, done. I started looking for other students from my area …I found
them.
When I were travelling to college then I realize that there is a lot of change in atmosphere, there were lot of
trees and greenish environment. I feel like fresh. After some time I entered in the huge college, surrounded by
all unknowns. I am a shy personality. Unless and until I get comfortable with someone. I won’t utter a word.
When I saw my batchmates, they were all happy, proud of making their dream come true. And then there waws
me scared., insecure other students were all happy. T We were informed that the first class starts at 9:00 AM , I
saw everyone looking roaming all around the college to find out there respective classrooms and sections. After
a long struggle I found my class. I entered knowing no one, I quality went and sat in a corner.
The first lecture was about to begin . A strict young teacher entered in the class. The first Class was Discrete
Structure (Mathematics). He then introduce himself. He was strict. If you’re absent more than three times you
automatically fail. If you’re late you’re absent. Work is on time or it does not count. No excuses. But he was
good. The first hour was over. After that another lecturet came and introduce himself. He was our HOD The way
he introduce himself. I could guess that it was his first lecture with this class. He told everything we would study
in the first semester in his subject. He left us early. The next class was to be taken by another teacher but it went
empty.
After classes, I had lunchand then headed to the common room. This time we have no idea what class was
next, I came back to my class . I felt really awkward sitting in the class simpky doing nothing. Next moment,
everyone stoodup from their seats to greet the Professor who just entered the classroom. He introduce himself.
And then my biggest fear “introduce yourself”… said the teacher. He was first teacher who asked our
introduction. Which I did. Later did I realize that it was’nt hard though. I never took a classes like this before,
and it was totally different system then I used to attend.
Now it was time to leave, that day I learned that people are very different and of you indulge yourself into
knowing eachother you might get to know a lot about humanity. Some good some badThe first day of college

Few days passed, every teacher came to take different subjects and finally the introduction sessions got
over. Some teachers were strict , While others were quite humorous.Now I am really happy to be surrounded
with cheerful, funny and heartful friends and inspiring and motivating teachers.
