Global Access of Maternal Healthcare
Maternal healthcare refers to the healthcare required by mothers during childbirth. This special healthcare is required by mothers specially during pregnancy as well as for few weeks after pregnancy. The global maternal mortality rate has reduced from 342 deaths to 212 deaths per 100,000 births during the period 2000 to 2017. This is still a huge number because ideally no one should die while giving birth to child. Our current healthcare technologies have advanced enough to prevent every death during pregnancy, but standard healthcare facilities are not available to everyone.
