Macroeconomic Profile of Italy
In this essay we examine the macroeconomic profile of Italy and how concepts such as the Phillips curve and Okuns Law apply. Italy is a market-based economy and is also one of the founding members of the European Union. The country has an advanced economy that is divided into advanced industrialized north and more agriculture-oriented south. Italy is ranked as the ninth most powerful economy in the world. The country is specialized in producing and exporting high-quality products like automobiles, clothing, food, machinery, robots, pharmaceuticals, and other luxury goods. Italy's GDP is growing slowly and this is why there is a desperate need to introduce effective economic policies to boost the growth of the country.
