I now know that Geography is an applied science. But I had a different perception of Geography when I joined this course. My perception was that places on earth will be explored. The landscapes and contours will be known. I also had an idea that analytical analysis would be done to explore relationships between elements of nature. I did not know that standardized methods and processes would be applied. Joining this course made it clearer to me the reasons for Geography being called applied science.
