Greenpeace is a non-governmental organization that has a global presence. It works through raising awareness about climate issues as well as helping local people to form their own resistance movements in the developing world. The corrupt nexus between government officials and corporate houses results in a displacement of tribal people from their land to allow mineral excavations. Greenpeace gives voice to the voiceless. This means not just a voice for climate but people, particularly poor people, in developing regions of the world.
