The functions of Crime by Durkheim
The author argues that crime is present not only in the human species and its societies but in all species of all types. Their author points out that no society exists without crime. Though he takes care not to compare crime to be same as a physiological problem of an organism where organism could be compared to society. Durkheim is though of opinion that just as morbidity is faced by organism similarly society will face crime; though not as a physiological problem but as a pathological problem.
