In the 1933 election, the Nazis party acquired 33% of the vote. In that same year the president elected Hitler as chancellor. This was the start to Hitler’s dictatorship. Factors In the Proclamation to the Germans, Hitler pointed out many factors that contributed to Germany’s problems. He claimed that it threatened everything that the German nation is about such as its faith, morality, business, justice, and honor (Proclamation to the German Nation, 1933). Another factor he continuously blamed was the previous fourteen years of Marxist government. He blamed the thousand wounded and hundred deaths due to Marxism (Proclamation to the German Nation, 1933). Hitler exclaimed in the proclamation that the nation gave Marxism fourteen years to prove it’s worth and all it did was ruin their nation (Proclamation to the German Nation, 1933). Starvation,
