What does a leader want from a follower and how does that relate to a situation you have found yourself in? - Leader is someone who has the ability to influence, motivate and lead a group of people toward achieving a common goal. Every leader has own approach and way of leading. So a leader expectation may vary depending upon the type of leadership. In general, a leader would expect their followers to listen to them. It includes care and attention to what leader is saying. It helps to maximize the clarity of understanding. A leader would want follower to be communicative and participative. There has to be two ways communication between leader and follower in order increase productivity and avoid misunderstanding. Follower should be committed and persistence. Honesty, loyalty, effectiveness and efficiency will always please any leader. I was leading a group while working for a social organization in Nepal. We had various event organized every week. All the members would do as they were told but there was no feedback, suggestion or new ideas. It was like I was leading a bunch of robots. I had only 15 members in my group so, I decided to have a word with each individual and communicated with them to bring more ideas and make them participate in the decision making indirectly.
