For completeness, Anatomy - a regional atlas of the human body, 6th Ed. by Clemente is often referred to as an "Anatomists' Atlas" since it is very comprehensive and shows the relationships between nearly all nearby structures. However, some people find it to be visually dense and it may be tough for a beginner to use effectively. Concerning full human anatomy? I used on multiple occasions the Biodigital website. It is pretty good. You can zoom in and out, look for and “dissect” body parts. It has a premium version but I really never needed it. It also allows checking on certain conditions the community has created as far as I recall.

Understanding Human anatomy

How can I fully understand human anatomy?
The term human anatomy comprises a consideration of the various structures
which make up the human organism. In a restricted sense, it deals merely with the
parts which form the fully developed individual and which can be rendered evident to
the naked eye by various methods of dissection. Regarded from such a standpoint it
may be studied by two methods;

1. the various structures may be separately considered systematic anatomy.
2. the organs and tissues may be studied concerning one another topographical
or regional anatomy.

It is, however, of many advantages to adding to the facts ascertained by naked-eye
dissection those obtained by the use of the microscope. This introduces two fields
of investigation, viz., the study of the minute structure of the various parts of the
body histology and the study of the human organism in its immature condition, the
various stages of its intrauterine development from the fertilized ovum up to the
period when it assumes independent existence embryology.

Where did the study of human anatomy start?
"Anatomy is the oldest scientific discipline of medicine. The first documented
scientific dissections on the human body are carried out as early as the third century
B.C. in Alexandria.

At that time, anatomists explore anatomy through dissections of animals, primarily
pigs and monkeys.

Claudius Galen (129-199) is the most prominent physician in Ancient Greece whose
conclusions are purely based on the study of animals and whose faulty theories on
human anatomy dominate and influence medical science until the Renaissance, i.e.
for over 1,000 years."

The word “anatomy” comes from a Greek root that means “to cut apart.” To observe
structures in living people, Several imaging techniques have been developed. These
techniques allow clinicians to visualize structures inside the living body such as a
cancerous tumor or a fractured bone.

The” introduction of the basics of anatomy is not just one set thing. It’s addressed in
introductory books and courses about human anatomy, and people who write books
and design courses will have different approaches.

, But it often begins with the skeleton and its constituent bones, then maybe muscles
or organs or other (non-bony) connective tissue. Or it might first focus on
embryology

Why do we need to study “Human Anatomy?’
Anatomy is the study of the structure of the body. It is a branch of science that
investigates and studies organs, bones, structures, and cells that exist in animals
and people. There is a related scientific term called physiology means the study of
how a normal living organism’s body parts function and work which helps us to
understand the functions of different parts of the body, but understanding anatomy
is essential for physiology.
