AFL1501_FINAL_PORTFOLIO ASSIGNMENT 6 / 2021. My family tree has been impacted by cultural identity in the following ways: 1. My religious beliefs were inherited from my mother and maternal grandparents. 2. Although my father is of Tamil religion and heritage, my parents decided that my sister and I would be taught Christianity. 3. My maternal grandparents were Telegu and Tamil respectively. My maternal grandmother’s family were moved into Christianity by a European family that they worked for on the sugar cane fields. 4. As a result of this religious conversion, my grandparents and my mother’s siblings practiced Christianity. Also short for Bernard in Swiss Based on the babies demeanour or the parents preference and perception or the meaning of the babies arrival. 1.2.2 Hansie – a male name which means God is gracious. This name is given when moms have a difficult pregnancy that was challenging and where the baby was miraculously born healthy. Parents are paying homage to God for a healthy baby.
