We will look at what it is, as well as, how to use it practically. We will do this by looking at all of the components involved, to do this we will be looking at The Star newspaper. This will also show why it is effective and why it is used so frequently. We will then look at media audience theory by doing an in house participant observation to see their usage of different media, as well as, the reasons it is used for. We will then look into narrative analysis by analysing the film, “What men want”. We will look at the various phases of a narrative process as well as character roles, levels of description and postmodernism. We will be using the same film, “What men want”, when we delve deeper in the the human mind when we look at psychoanalysis and television.
