with a workshop where you are thinking of servicing and repairing cars. Your wish is to have
a modern workshop with a car lift that will allow you as mechanic to work underneath the
cars without laying on the ground ( Hint: for more information, you might as well be advised

Cylinder transmits hydraulic pressure to the slave cylinder when the pedal is
pressed, If the pressure is applied on one cylinder. The other one will move to lift the
objects. The pump will then transport the oil fluid to the cylinders. The valve mounted
in the cylinders should be closed when oil is pumped from the chamber to boost the
pressure inside the cylinder. In this way it causes the plunger to lift the objects, which
could be either a car or truck.
1.5.As in 1.4, why is it so important to have all traces of air eliminated from
the system?(3)
It is important to have air, because without air it would be very difficult to lift heavy
objects. If the pressure releases, the plunger will drop. A cylinder should be closed
when oil is pumped into the chamber to increase its pressure. 1.6.Evaluate in not less than 8 points how you will ensure safety rules on
the use of tools in your workshop. (8)
1.Do not run in the workshop
2.Always wear safety gear, for example; strong shoes/boot and safety glasses. 3.Keep tool clean after use
4.Do not use worn tools
5.Long hair should be tied
6. Ensure tools are properly maintained and used correctly in order to avoid
hazards
7.Store sharp/tools objects away very carefully after usage.

An employer or a user of electricity must provide a clear space for operating
and maintenance staff at the back and front of all switchboards. The space
behind a switchboard should be kept closed and locked at all times and
should only be accessed for the purpose of inspection or repairs. Evaluate the
cases in which the requirements regarding the clear space at the back of the
switchboard is not applicable. [8]
In case of switchboard which don’t have uninsulated conductors that are
accessible from the back. In the case of switchboards when the switch gear incompletely walled.
