CBC1501 EXAMINATION GUIDELINES 2019
CBC1501 EXAMINATION GUIDELINES 2019 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS You are required to complete this section in pencil on the mark reading sheet. These questions will be based on the content of the entire module. The scenarios need to be read carefully and you need to read ALL the options before answering- don’t just choose the option that seems most familiar. These questions can be tricky so you need to study your work thoroughly. Please revise these questions using past papers and assignment 2. Read the tutorial letter provided to you with the answers for assignment 2. Each answer is explained in detail and you will get a better understanding of what the examiner expects. Some questions may appear to have two correct answers, but one answer uses the relevant terminology and the other makes use of jargon. Choose the answer that makes use of the technical terms. On that note, please make sure you answer the questions asked. For example, there is a difference between the term “type” and “function”. The question may ask you for the type and include an answer for the function. You need to be able to spot this and answer accordingly. Remember, you are looking for the most correct answer. Watch out for double negatives. Some questions ask you for the incorrect answer or the answer that is not true. The answers might contain another negative, thus throwing you off. Read your questions carefully and, again, read all alternatives. You have approximately one minute per MCQ. Some questions you will answer in less time and free up more time for the harder questions. You have the time to read carefully- use it. Don’t rush to leave the exam venue. If you have the time, go over your “tougher” questions. Below are the answers for the MCQs for the last four exams. Please note that I have not set the exam and therefore it is possible that you may disagree with an answer. Email me with queries and I will be happy to explain my choice. Please do not email me at all hours of the night before your exam and expect a reply. The night before should be used for revision and you should contact me long before that time.
