Part A. Summary of Organizational Need TechFite is an organization that specializes in manufacturing medical devices for the space program, NASA as well as other space agencies worldwide. Currently, TechFite has a twofirewall system in place that creates a three-ring network. Each one of the firewalls has its own security log for its network traffic stored manually onsite. The CIO has major security concerns with this current system. This manual process and storage will not keep up with its government contract obligations. As this business organization continues to grow internationally, it is crucial to utilize strict compliance with FISMA and NIST. Due to this reason, I am recommending a cloud solution that will automate log monitoring and storage as well as support FISMA and NIST. Part B. Proposed Emerging Technology Solution The proposed solution I am recommending to TechFite is the purchase of AWS – Amazon Web Services. Amazon has several types of cloud computing services, but I suggest using AWS S3 (Unknown, 2002). AWS S3 is a great solution as it makes use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI provides various features of emerging technology such as anomaly detection, data ingestion, and predictive analytics. AWS AI uses anomaly detection to find events or items that deviate from the normal behaviors found within the data sets (Mitchell, 2017). It can show critical events such as technical glitches or abnormal behaviors. Data ingestion is the processing of various forms of data from a source and moving it to a storage destination such as the AWS cloud (Engdahl, 2008). Predictive Analytics is a strong part of the AWS infrastructure. It is the use of data and machine learning to show the likelihood of future outcomes based on previous data (Ping, 2016).
