CS2203 Learning Journal 8
The Learning Journal is a tool for self-reflection on the learning process. In addition to
completing
directed tasks, you should use the Learning Journal to document your activities, record problems
you
may have encountered and to draft answers for Discussion Forums and Assignments. The
Learning
Journal should be updated regularly (on a weekly basis), as the learning journals will be assessed
by your
instructor as part of your Final Grade.
Your learning journal entry must be a reflective statement that considers the following questions:
1. Describe what you did. This does not mean that you copy and paste from what you have
posted
or the assignments you have prepared. You need to describe what you did and how you did it.
What I did: This is week we concluded on the topic database programming and covered several
sub-topics on the reading. We also completed a task on the discussion forum.
How I did it: I concluded on the reading by watching the lecture video and going through the
reading assignment text chapters. After reading the assigned chapters, I completed my discussion
by making the necessary search through the web for further clarification.
2. Describe your reactions to what you did.
My reaction to the given task was a positive one, as I was able to get the required information
needed to complete the tasks.
3. Describe any feedback you received or any specific interactions you had. Discuss how they
were helpful.
The feedback received was straight forward and a positive one. The feedbacks gave me further
understanding of the topic.
4. Describe your feelings and attitudes.
I feel glad to see that the journey is getting closer to an end. The workload and stress I believe
will be off soonest.
