1. Inleiding
1.1 Aanleiding
‘’Kindermishandeling is elke vorm van mishandeling die voor een kind bedreigend of gewelddadig is.
Dus niet alleen lichamelijk geweld, maar ook bijvoorbeeld emotionele mishandeling of verwaarlozing
vallen eronder’’ (Rijksoverheid, sd). Wanneer er in gezinnen meerdere kinderen worden mishandeld,
zijn er ook vaak verschillende vormen van mishandeling. De ernst van mishandeling is heel
verschillend. Het heeft namelijk te maken met hoe lang de mishandeling al plaatsvindt en hoe het
gebeurd. Kindermishandeling kan ontstaan door stress in het gezin (Nederlands Jeugd Instituut, sd).
