Dear Diary,
I’ve finally had a chance to meet Gotliebs fiancé Miriam. And I can’t explain how happy I am!
I think Gotlieb finally took his hat off and I knew that will happen sooner or later. From now
on our family has blood thicker than water!
It was so long from the last time I wrote you, but I feel that it’s time to express myself again.
First of all, when Gotlieb came to tell that he wants me to meet his fiancé… I couldn’t hold
my feelings and emotions inside me. Oh, Diary, this moment was amazing, it was like a new
breath into life, everything got new colors and most amazing thing is that I felt like my wife
came back to hold my hand on this extraordinary moment. And later on, Miriam came to
supper, and, at first, she looked like she’s born with a silver spoon in her mouth, but when
she asked my blessing (CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?) I just couldn’t resist on doing that. She
really warmed my heart. I needed that… At one moment I thought our family relationship is
going to disappear forever, but this supper… It changed everything I feel we’re connected
again. I haven’t felt emotionally fulfilled in years, but Miriam was like a lost piece of puzzle
that finally connected our family and made these emotions to come back! And now when
my sons embrace our traditions, I may be open to be Americanized. Do you think it’s time to
be more open to new traditions and styles?
I hope Miriam will become my daughter-in-law, that would be truly amazing. Business is
going well, son is going to get married, so I think it’s time to finally think what can I do for
myself. What do you think? Maybe I should take some vacations with Marta and travel a bit
around the free world? I’ll truly think about that!
