 General terms:
 Light: It is a form of energy that gives the sensation of vision o
eyes.
 Luminous objects: Objects that emit their own light. E.g Sun,
 Non luminous objects: Objects that do not emit their own light
moon, planets
 Transparent objects: Objects which allow light to pass through
e.g glass,diamond
 Translucent objects: Objects which allow light to pass partially
kerosene paper, thick white plastic
 Opaque objects: Objects which do not allow light. E.g concret


,  Reflection of light: The phenomenon of returning back of light
first medium from the surface of second medium is known as
reflection of light.
 Non luminous objects are visible only after reflection of light fr
their surface.
