Forests provide a lot of benefits for humans and we should take care of them. Farias
Silva, Viviane; Geraldo Lima, Wanessa Regina; Vailan Castro Bezerra, Carlos; Antunes
Lima, Vera Lucia; Vasconcelos Baracuhy, José Geraldo (2017) “Environmental services is
the performance of activities provided by natural ecosystems for the benefit of human
society.” The environment , and more specifically the forests provide us with alot of benefits
that are vital for human beings such as water, food, shelter, etc. The forests give us alot of
benefits but we want to take a lot more than that. We have entered the point where we are too
ambitious and take a lot more than we should, this is causing our actual problems, such as
deforestation and contamination.
We are exploiting forests globally, which will cause the forests to die and will not be able to
produce the things that in the future could benefit us. Sanquetta, C. R.; Dalla Corte, A. P.;
Benedet Maas, G. C (2011)“ According to FAO, in the year 2010 there were 4,032 million
hectares of natural forests in the world, or about 30% of the total land area and 264 million
hectares of planted forests.” We are losing one of our main sources of water, food, wood,
and alot of things we use and need daily. We need to make people aware of how important
forests are and how we depend on them to have our essential needs. We also suffer alot of
collateral damage if a forest is destroyed
We need to protect the forests or we will soon run out of resources. Planted forests have been
going on around the world and can be a part of the solution. Planted trees can quickly restore
our damaged ecosystem. And if we implement the idea of planted forests next to a natural
forest we can give more hope, health and space to the fauna that lives on the forest. That
fauna can also give us benefits, such as, food, fuel, bioproducts, etc. Everything in the
forests is essential and we should take care of them.
We need to take care of forests, not just because of what they provide but the harm it does to
our planet every time we destroy one forest. Sanquetta, C. R.; Dalla Corte, A. P.; Benedet
Maas, G. C (2011) “The phenomenon known as climate change is now recognized by most
people as a significant threat to planet Earth and to human existence.” . Forests are so vital,
that we even need them to breathe. We depend on forests to survive. Some tribes still see the
forest as a home and shelter.
In conclusion, forests are very important for most living things, but the only ones with the
enough power to really protect it are us, humans. We should make awareness of the big
problem the world is facing with deforestation and contamination. Forests are very vital for
