ART CREATION & REFLECTION 1 Art Creation & Reflection – Sculpture, Painting, or Drawing As we learned in this week’s lesson, art seeks to communicate, and it is often ideas that are invaluable to the study of man’s intellectual evolution. Art is typically inspired by the artist’s past experiences, emotions, environment, and even other artists. Artists follow their instincts to arrive at the finished work (Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2020). Emotions, cultural and religious values can be portrayed in a piece of art. (My inspiration piece) The piece that I chose as my inspiration is an oil painting called Mont Sainte-Victoire, created by Paul Cezanne. Mont Sainte-Victoire was painted during the years of . Cezanne painted this beautiful piece of art in Aix, France, his native city. This mountain inspired Cezanne paintings since the artist was able to see it from his house. This mountain became one of his favorite landscape subjects until the day that he died. According to Martin Local legends, the mountain was home to a god and, therefore, a holy place (Martin, 2018). Paul Cezanne was an artist of the Post -Impressionist era. (The Art Story, n.d). Based on what I’ve learned since the
