CAPSTONE PROJECT CHANGE PROPOSALNurses are a key component in in the healthcare team, they make up the majority of the front line of the healthcare team. Nurses deserve to be kept safe and away from harm when completing their daily job duties. When nurses are kept from harm during their shift it helps prevent compassion fatigue and nursing burnout. Nurses and the healthcare team need to have implementation of deescalation workshops that increase their skills in reducing the stress of patients and decrease workplace violence. Nurses face a majority of the patient violence when they are trying to save the patient’s life. The violence can be from patients or family members This is an added stress to an already stressful career and situations.
