Information Technology (IT)
Definition: IT is a combination of hardware, software, and services that people use
to manage, communicate, and share information.
IT impacts on the economy
IT is driving a new digital economy where hardware, software, and connectivity
empowers businesses and individuals to deliver services and products and
services effectively and flexibly because of the different modes available for
delivery. As a result, IT is prioritized in the budget of most companies.
Systems analysis and Design
Definition: Systems analysis and design is a step-by-step process for developing
high-quality information systems. An information system combines technology,
people, and data to provide support for business functions such as order
processing, inventory control, human resources, accounting, and many more.
Different information systems are often designed and/or adapted for specific
tasks.
What Does a systems analyst Do?
, Definition: A systems analyst helps plan, develop, and maintain information
systems. He or she is an excellent communicator with strong analytical and critical
thinking skills. Systems analysts transform business requirements into IT projects,
they are business-savvy as well as technically competent. They are equally
comfortable with managers and programmers, who sometimes have different
points of view.
They are assigned to the IT department, also work with marketing, sales, or
accounting.
A systems Analyst Purpose
An analyst understands the needs of that group and how IT supports the
department’s mission. They can work on projects as contractors on a need basis.
The document business processes, test hardware, and software packages, design
input screens, train users, and plan e-commerce websites, and more. They
occasionally manage IT projects, including tasks, resources, schedules, and costs.
They keep managers and users informed by conducting meetings, delivers
presentations, and writes memos, reports, and documentation.

Definition: A system is a set of related components that produces specific results.
It requires input data, which is raw data that is processed by the system into useful
information

Hardware
The hardware consists of technology-based infrastructure. Hardware facilitates
communication, networking, storage of data and information, and hosts
software.
Software
Software refers to the programs that control the hardware and produce the
desired information or results. The software consists of:
