Introducing Biology
Biology or Life Sciences is the study of living organisms. Since this term has a wide application, it can be
divided into more specific branches. These include:
Botany – study of plants.
Zoology – study of animals.
Human Biology – study of man and his relation to other organisms.
The study of Biology becomes important for the following reasons:
