Aim: Lettering and 2D Geometric construction.

Procedure:
Question 1: Write (Manually or using CAD software) the capital letters A to Z, small letters a to
z, and Arabic numbers 0 to 9 with 0.7 mm thick – lines and 0.5 mm thick line pencils.
Steps=
• Step 1- Type “TEXT” In command box, Set the height to 5mm. Select the starting Point.
Type “ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ” Press ENTER
twice.
• Step 2- Type “TEXT” In command box, Set the height to 5mm, Select the starting
point. Type “abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz” Press ENTER twice.
• Step 3- Type “TEXT” In command box, Set the height to 5mm, Select the starting
point. Type “0123456789” Press ENTER twice.
, STEPS=
• STEP 1- Use “LINE” command and draw a rectangle of Length= 170mm
Breadth= 60mm
Name the rectangle ABCD.
• STEP 2- Use “OFFSET” command select side AC, offset it by ‘40mm’ towards right.
again use “OFFSET” command select side BD, offset it by 50mm towards left.
again use “OFFSET” command select side AB, offset it 5 times by ‘10mm’
downward.
• STEP 3- Use “TEXT” command to enter the shown entities in the table created.
Press ENTER twice to confirm.
Questions: 3:Draw the basic 2D geometric entities, each of dimensions or side or radius of
30mm (a vertical straight line, a horizontal straight line, an equilateral triangle, a square, a
regular pentagon, a regular hexagon, and a circle.) With labels and dimensions

Step 1- Use “POLYGON” command , Set No. Of edge to ‘3’, Specify if ‘Inscribed in circle
OR Circumscribed about circle’ , Select the starting point and draw a triangle
with measurement of side= ‘30mm’.
• Square-
Step 1- Use “POLYGON” command, Set No. Of edge to ‘4’,Specify if ‘Inscribed in circle
