Q1. When clicking on the loan amount column it brings up all the items in the column including the
header. This creates a difference of 1 on my “Number of Approved Loans” validation. So, my count is
235,630 instead of 235,629.
Q2. Yes, the numerical count provides a more useful value for validating data because it is only collecting
and counting the data with a numerical value in it unlike just using the count function. This way it does
not include the header of the column and helps me get the correct number to validate against
LendingClub.
Q3. Other summary values that might be useful to validate data would be the minimum and maximum
values. We can compare these to LendingClub to validate the actual numbers are correct. We could also
you mean and average values to compare to LendingClubs. All of these plus the values we already have
on the summary tab could help validate our data.
