(Bush, 2019) • Signs and symptoms - Signs and Symptoms of Toxic Shock Syndrome have a rapid onset, typically developing over the course of just a few days. - Our body will produce an immune response which elevates the body temperature, resulting in a high fever, a sore throat, red eyes, and diarrhea. - Hypotension: Blood pressure may become dangerously low, increasing the risk for organ failure. - In some cases, a rash may develop, similar to a sunburn specific to the palms and soles of the feet. - Blood does not clot normally, increasing the risk for bleeding. - - Fluid accumulates in tissues, causing swelling (edema).
