The Context of Business Ethics
One of the most important elements of organization management is to create a
respectable and credible code of business ethics. An organization’s code of business ethics will
affect the rest of its activities ranging from market strategies to human relations. Every
organization worth its salt must weigh its options for delivering a suitable code of business ethics
carefully (Nicholas, 2008). If the organization intends to create a discrete code of business ethics
with a low confrontation style then it may be forced to be accustomed to a small and simple
ethical structure and knowing its employees extremely well. On the other hand, if the
organization intends to create an influential code of business ethics, it must create an ethical
structure used to new faces and a larger public context. There is no perfect code of business
ethics as the ideal situations in the corporate world are difficult to achieve. However, realizing a
favorable code of business ethics for the organization may be dependent on several factors that
are integral to organization’s culture.
Rights in Business Ethics
A right is a moral or legal entitlement to obtain or have something or the moral or legal
obligation to act in a certain capacity and in a certain behavior. Rights are the guidelines, either
written or unwritten that guide organization and institutions towards certain standard behavior.
There are different types of rights. Legal right refers to a claim recognized and often
administered under the rule of law for the purpose of ensuring that the interests of individuals in
a claim which is also recognize and protected under the enforced law are protected. Legal rights
are often delimitated by sanctions of the law and are often imposed by the legal authority in
charge such as a state, enabling the concerned individuals to possess property through engaging
