Nutrition and Weight Issues
Nutrition is a major in our society today as I discussed earlier in my assignments on this
course. People with nutritional issues are a result of being overwhelmed by lots of physiological
processes that in turn reduce the effectiveness of their immunity. Nutritional problems are a huge
cause of some of the chronic illnesses suffered by those suffering from obesity. The paper will
address some of the sampling issues that may be encountered in each level of the research of
nutritional issues and strategies that might put in place to address the problem.
The target community, in this case, is Osprey, a community that is located in Sarasota
County which is found in Florida in the United States of America. It has a population of around
7,000 people and is among one of the most populated cities in Florida (Smith & Smith, 2016).
The study was done in a school facility that ensured gender inclusivity. The program will involve
putting the targeted individuals which are the school going kids which made them an excellent
representation of the larger community.
The program proposed to solve this is regular exercise. Exercising helps the body to
program itself to perform all its functions smoothly. This will be essential to the body as it
ensures it performs properly besides helping the body to burn that extra fat in the body. Adopting
these programs is crucial as it will prevent the students from contracting chronic diseases like
hypertension. Failing to follow this program will result in obesity which carries a lot of risks for
obese people. Some of the health risks they face include high blood pressure, sleep apnea,
diabetes, heart diseases as well as strokes, kidney diseases, and pregnancy problems. These
illnesses are very common and anybody suffering from nutritional conditions risks the chance of
getting them too.
