In the corporate world, employees want to gain more than meaning in their workplaces other than just
being fulfilled by monetary value. An excellent way for companies that workers are more fulfilled is
looking for the best ways to fulfill the needs of employees, such as promoting volunteering services
within the company. Unfortunately, our company is yet to implement this kind of change. There are
dozens of benefits to be gained if our company would open up paid volunteering programs at least twice
per month. The main advantage would be satisfying the employee's needs, improving the company’s
presence in the local communities, and thus gaining a relative competitive advantage over the existing
competitors. Volunteering programs does retain not only current employees but also attract skillful and
potential employees. Voluntary services will dramatically improve the overall performance of the
company.
While there are tremendous changes in the community attitudes towards specific organizations, it is
worth noting that internal adjustment is a critical step in attracting members of the society and those
who are potential in transforming the company more naturally. Once the business is capable of
sustaining the needs of the potential employees, which translates into high revenues, it is just a matter
of knowing how much change can be done without affecting the normal functioning of the company.
One of the most successful methods to attract and maintain the interest of the public is to encourage
volunteering services. According to Adha, Budimansyah, Kartadinata, and Sundawa, (2019), the
millennial-aged 20-35 years are highly influenced by the volunteering policies of a given organization
when applying for extended term contracts and engagements. Indeed, more than 50 % of the youth
applicants accept the job offers if the volunteering policies are attractive enough. The article describes
why volunteering is so important when it comes to the fulfillment of the employee's psychological
needs. Millennials believe that promoting their capabilities to members of the public through the
company they work for, boost their morale since their voices and abilities can be noticed without
putting in a lot of efforts. Volunteering is essential to developing employees' skills such as leadership,
communication, and problem-solving competencies.
A new culture is emerging in the U.S, where the youth’s mindsets are constantly changing when it comes
to the idea of public involvement (van Schie, Gautier, Pache&Güntert, 2018). These types of individuals
are going to create almost the three-quarter of the total workforce. As a result, many businesses are
keen on this crucial change and are now looking forward to embracing even the slightest opportunity to
engage with the youths. As such, it is undeniably essential for any company to begin gradually to attract
and retain employees and for the overall success of the company.
The majority of the companies are facing a challenge to integrate their moral principles within their
corporations in such a competitive age. However, volunteering is the only tool that could assist
