unit 7 - mobile apps development
Intro:
In this assignment i will bw looking at how mobile apps help to exploit the
hardware functinalities of modern devices.
I will also consider how mobile applications work, why they are developed, and
compare the differences/similarites between implementations of the same software
Different types of application software:
There are different types, and these include native, web based or hybrid
I will be examing different types with different implementation

Intentded users - Gooogle maps:
App Type:
Google maps is application developed for users to use it instead a dedicated
satnav.
Google maps is considered as a Hybrid but it can also function as a web app becuase
it supports different OSs such as iOS and Android
The application can be used by pretty much everyone due to the easy and clean
design.
Older generation can use it the same way as someone younger which again makes it a
good design.
Purpose:
The purpose of google maps is to help users locate their destination anywhere
around the globe.
The app also shows the currennt location of the user which can help them locate the
area they are in in case they are lost.
It will also suggest an estimated arrival time, they can do this by using the
posted speed limit.
User preferences:
Google maps provide a very fast and very stable user interface to their users so
they can go wherever they would like to
It can show bus timelines and also train schedules so the user can prepare and get
on there in time.
For users it can be easier to see the location before they wizkd arrive, google
maps can help in this as well because by turning on the setallite and the 3D
feature. This can be really useful as the person can 'walk trough' the streets
without physcally being there
It can also provide information about restaurants, so people can plan the whole day
with it.
