Organizational Culture

An unfamiliar concept of organization is culture. Culture is not the answer to all the problems of
the organization. As a way of describing and managing the organizations, culture has many
weaknesses. Organizational culture has many different purposes with many different lines. The
concept of the culture organization is still very problematic to the managers of today for two
reasons. First, the link between culture and its performance towards organization and the second
reason is that we still cannot define it (Lewis, 1998). Researchers studied that organizational
culture is a set of believes, assumptions, behaviors and values. But these components of the
organizational culture have not the authentic definition at all. Values are defined as norms,
ethics, rules and morals (Schein, 1981). However, values are also defined as the highest
instruction of standard to essential means and actions (Olson and Zanna, 1993). Hence, another
weak point of the organizational culture is that we cannot change the beliefs of employees or
workers because believes are individual facts that are genuine by persuasion, as they are
inconvertible. Even we cannot understand the term culture itself because it is borrowed from one
disciplined and applied to another disciplined. Harassments at workplace is another bad evil that
is ruining the organizational culture (Vijayasiri, 2008).

Signs of Organizational Culture

Organizational culture of the Samsung encourages its employees to engross business citizen
programs that also give career opportunities to the other citizens of the community through
technology. There is nothing better than working in company that has a great organizational
culture. Rules and policies, rituals, language and stories, mission statements and physical layouts
are few signs of the organizational culture. Samsung has an advanced centered and innovation
focused organizational culture. Organizational culture is also a part of the organizational design.
Samsung had positive successes in ratifying the policy and regulations internationally, which
expands the Samsung in the international business markets. Organizational culture emphasizes
on the skills, confidence, ability and knowledge of the employees for innovating the technology
products of the company such as laptops, smartphones and other electronic appliances. Vision
and mission statement of the Samsung Company always focused on the superior products of the
society which improved life of the individuals and the community. As one of the dominant firms
in the multinational markets around the globe for consumer electronics, semi-conductors and
