Assignment 2
Write an illustrated report describing the structure and function of the
different organs of the
Respiratory system
The respiratory system includes the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea,
bronchi and lungs. The function of the respiratory system is when the
food is breaking down and this can be used in the body for energy and
the cell growth which will also be repaired. This also happens
mechanically and also by the use of enzymes. This means the organs
will break down the food to smaller molecules and then it will make more
energy this means it will also help the other nutritional reasons.
Nose is where the air is usually entering from and it is also exiting from.
Trachea is a wind pipe which also connects the pharynx to the lungs
Lungs is where the oxygen is usually breathed in and then it will also get
transported to the bronchioles.
Bronchi is where the air goes through the pipes because the oxygen is
travelling to the lungs.
Bronchioles is when the air is supplied and it is getting sent to the
alveolus.
