PHYSICAL NETWORK DEVICES
Physical network devices are devices that help facilitate communication and interaction
between devices on computer network. On the SNHUenergy Inc., some of the various physical
devices used in connections across the company are the Switches, the firewalls devices, the
router, the wireless access point (WAP), the servers and the VOIP. These devices enable
connection between the offices to communicate and perform the functions of the business
operations.
CRITICIAL TRAFFIC PATTERNS
The data that flows through the network basically include database access demands
together with the captured data frame/bits. From the diagram we can identify frame 2283 with
216 bytes(1728bits) on wire indicating that 216bytes(1728bits) of data is captured per second of
communication transfer via the FTP/TCP/IP. The User diagram protocol (UDP) has the source
port number 52220 and destination port number 65534 for communication traffic.
Clearly from the traffic pattern we can deduce that most communication exchange occur using
the TCP, RTP and SSH, MYSQL network traditions.
Using the traffic pattern from the wire shack traffic flow capture, we can make the
following assumption:
a.) Service: SNHUEnergy VOIP services is configured to transmit and receive data
using the Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP). RTP is a network protocol mostly
used to deliver audio and video data of IP networks.
